The first inaugural NEC Industrial Innovation Competition, an initiative launched by NEC Laboratories Singapore (NLS) aims to provide a platform for students to showcase their new ideas or concepts towards smart and safe cities for Singapore and beyond. It also aims to promote an environment of entrepreneurship and support young innovative students to realize their aspirations with NEC.
James Moo was also recognized as early-career technology expert and represented Singapore as Young Global Changer at Think 20 Summit as part of the G20’s think-tank for sustainable development (28-31 May, Berlin/Germany).
In July he achieved the Dr and Mrs Alex Tan Pang Kee Gold Medal Award 2017 as most outstanding PhD student (Doctor of Philosophy) in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry from the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).
